Greetings!

With April vacation upon us, the school year will be at a close before we know it. Our March Convention was a great success and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the committee chairs and members who worked so hard towards making that happen. Thank you, too, to all the MVA members who attended and to the new members who joined us at the Convention. I hope that you all enjoyed the time that you spent sharing, learning, and collaborating with colleagues.

The Outstanding Vocational Student banquet was held in Mechanics Hall, Worcester, on April 10. It was, as always, a spectacular event highlighting the most gifted vocational student statewide. Their accomplishments are inspiring to all of us. Each year the students’ endeavors and aspirations rise to a higher level. I hope that you are as proud of them and of being a vocational educator as I am.

The Connecting for Success Summer Conference is fast approaching. It will be held from June 24 through 26 at Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School in Marlborough. Visit the website ConnectingForSuccess.org for information on registration, content, and scheduling. Some of the sessions that you attended in Hyannis will be continued and completed at Connecting for Success.

As we continue to celebrate A Century of Success, remember to take every opportunity to promote your schools, your programs, and your students. Never underestimate the value of your work.
