MINUTES
1.0: Welcome/Roll call:

2.0: Review/Approval:
November 19, 2009 minutes were rea= d and reviewed. I will submit the minutes to Marcus Ashley
(Executive Director).
3.0: Financial Report:
Jim Hachey presented the report. T= o date we have $3000.00 in the checking account, as well as a
$5100.00 cd, in which we discussed= what to do with next year. We tossed around a few options such as
continuing to roll it over every t= hree months, or cashing it in.
4.0: Old Business:
4.1: 450 club raffle will take place for the month of November and December at the January meeting.
4.2: Membership Recruitment: = we discussed ways to up membership such as making it part of the school
in w= hich you works contract, this will work for some schools. Mark Sansoucy has foun= d a second rep
for Baypath, John Selene.
4.3: Membership cards: were distributed at the December 2 workshop.
4.5: Senate updates: see webs= ite.
4.5: Membership brochures: Bi= ll Feraco (Assabet) is looking into someone from his school working on
this= with the assistance of Rick Torres (Worcester).
5.0: New Business:
5.1: Recap= of Representative Conference on 12/2:
a. m= ost chapters suffer the same situations, low membership reasons for MVA organiz= ation.
5.2: Jim Hachey has sent off = to Marcus Ashley. See above for details.
5.3: Student awards: Could ev= eryone please check with their schools to ensure they have received the
pape= rwork regarding the MVA student award.
5.4: Spring Conference will t= ake place on March 12, 13, and 14.
5.5: Recruitment strategies: = Join to wear jean, crazy hat day, just some incentives to join the MVA.
5.6: MVA Newsletter/paper: Wo= rk in progress.
6.0: Next meeting will take place at O’Connors on Wednesday, January 20, at 2:30 p.m.
